CM Jagan To Inaugurate Kia Commercial Production

Its time for Made in Andhra Pradesh Kia Cars to come on roads. The Plant in Anantapur will start commercial production from August 1st. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate the Production that day. The Production was supposed to start from this month-end.

But was postponed since the Chief Minister is busy with the Assembly Sessions. To begin with, the company will produce 50 cars per hour. Interestingly, YSR Congress opposed this project while in the Opposition. Jagan Mohan Reddy himself criticized the Project on several occasions.

BJP also tried to take away the credit of the Project saying that it has come to Andhra Pradesh due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But then, it is evident that the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu brought the Company to Andhra Pradesh and ensured the everything from Land Acquisition to approvals is fast-tracked.

Kia Motors Plant construction was completed in just 18 months time. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Trial Car in January this year. What is more interesting is that TDP just managed two seats in Anantapur district where Kia Motors has come.
