CM Revanth Sets His Eyes On TSPSC

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of Telangana is taking decisive action to overhaul the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) following a series of controversies.

The move comes in the wake of the resignation of TSPSC Chairman B. Janardhan Reddy and five other members amid allegations of paper leaks and improper exam conduct. The High Court had previously canceled exams due to paper leak concerns.

The situation is compounded by the tragic suicide of an aspirant and arrests related to the theft and sale of exam papers.

Despite Dr. Janardhan Reddy’s resignation, the Governor has not accepted it, waiting to ascertain responsibility for the paper leaks and commission mismanagement.

In a meeting, Revanth Reddy directed officials to study the recruitment practices of the Union Public Service Commission and other state public service commissions, emphasizing transparency.

He urged the framing of guidelines for the TSPSC Chairman and members in line with Supreme Court directives. The Chief Minister’s focus is on aligning TSPSC practices with national standards.
