CM Jagan Promises Pensions, Jobs, and Transparency

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh a little while ago. After the swearing-in ceremony, Jagan made his first signature on the file to increase the Pensions. Jagan sought four years time to increase the pensions from 2000 to 3000 Rupees as promised.

He will begin with 2250 Rupees from June and 250 Rupees increase every year. He promised Four Lakh New Jobs of Village Volunteers by August 15th. Each Volunteer will take care of fifty houses and will ensure door delivery of Government Schemes without any bribes or recommendations.

Jagan also promised Village Secretariats by October 2nd which will create 1.6 Lakh Jobs. All the applications for various schemes will be delivered in 72 hours, he promised. A Call Center will be set up in the Chief Minister’s Office to take the complaints about Corruption.

Jagan also announced Reverse Tendering to review existing contracts and save money. A judicial commission was also announced to review Project Tender Bids before the announcement. Any criticism on the bids approved by the judicial commission will take the concerned media house to the courts. Jagan did not set timelines for other promises in Navaratnas but only said he will surely implement them.
