Rumours are rife that Congress High Command is planning to keep the reins of Seema Andhra Congress in to Chiranjeevi’s hands and make him CM candidate there. Political Analysts say that if this materializes, it will be a political masterstroke from Congress. This move will polarize Kapu voting to Congress which is in large numbers in Seema Andhra region.
Even though the voting do not help Congress to come in to power, this will prevent Kapus from going to Telugu Desam which will indirectly help Jagan too. Congress is of the opinion that Jagan will be tamed anyways after the elections. On the other side, there is also a opinion that this move may not yield success fully as Kapus feel Chiranjeevi ditched them when they supported his Praja Rajyam Party. It is known that Chandra Babu is also concentrating on Kapu voting by attracting strong leaders from the community. We will have to see which party will get Kapus’ blessings!
