Congress' counter plan to rein TRS in GHMC

Main opposition party in Telangana, Congress dealt with a big blow in the last MLC elections after the ruling TRS party encroached its candidates after the time for nominations ended. Congress is planning to eliminate such chance this time in GHMC elections.

Congress will be fielding two candidates for each division in the election. The party B-form will be handed over in the last minute to the returning officer. If one candidate is encroached, the other candidate will become Congress’ official candidate.

The polling for GHMC elections will take place on February 2nd. All the parties are yet to come up with their preliminary candidates list. Even though TRS is ready with candidates in most of the divisions, they are delaying the announcement so as to avoid rebels.
