Congress Party is spending crores in marketing its Vice President, Rahul Gandhi and the party’s Prime Minister candidate. The party is rolling ads in Print, electronic, outdoor and web media. The ad campaign is widely spread in Andhra Pradesh. News Channels are airing 15 seconds ads for every 1 hour and News Papers are carrying half page ads on their front page. The party is not leaving any website covering News to advertise its lead campaigner.
Interestingly, staunch Anti – Congress persons like Ramoji Rao and Radha Krishna in AP are carrying advertisements of Rahul Gandhi indicates the voracity of the ad campaign. Public relations agency Genesis Burson-Marsteller and Japanese advertising firm Dentsu are managing Rahul’s image makeover nationally. We will have to see if this massive advertising campaign propels Congress to power for the third time.
