Congress Offers Bigger Role for Chandrababu At The Center?

Like never before in the history, Telugu Desam Party and Congress are inching towards allying with each other for the upcoming Assembly Elections in Telangana. The talks about the seat sharing are currently on and the formal announcement will be made soon.

It is said that Congress is not looking at Chandrababu Naidu only for Telangana Elections and wants him to play a bigger role at the Center. The Congress Party wants Chandrababu to bring consensus across the parties for Rahul Gandhi’s Prime Minister Candidature.

Chandrababu Naidu is a revered figure across all the political parties across the country. He is instrumental in stitching alliances at the center on a couple of occasions in the past. So, Congress wants him to do that once again for Rahul Gandhi.

We are told that Naidu, however, is reluctant to associate with Congress beyond Telangana as that would have negative repercussions in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu already clarified to his Cabinet colleagues that the alliance will be confined only to Telangana and no chance of allying with the party in AP.
