Congress Struggles to Retain Its Sole Senior Leader

Congress Party which is struggling across the nation is even worse in Andhra Pradesh. The party has got no representation in the Assembly and is losing its representation in the council. Several Senior leaders have gone into the other parties to extend their political careers.

Except for Raghuveera Reddy – the APCC President, no other Senior Leader is active in the party affairs. Raghuveera who was appointed as Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee after the bifurcation is completing his three years term and AICC is contemplating to extend his term by one more year.

Raghuveera is actively engrossed in the party by continuously organizing agitational programs against state and central government. In fact, Congress is doing a better job than the main opposition party, YSR Congress on this front. But public mood is not in favour of the party for now.
