The Congress had suspended Rayapati Samba Siva Rao from the party for serving No confidence motion on their own government. Rayapati is in Congress for more than 30 years and is a 5 time MP. He played a crucial role in blocking Kammas’ support to Telugu Desam Party in the district and is also a great loyalist to Gandhi family.
Equations will take a total turn in the district with this move. Rayapati’s followers are planning mass resignations from congress Party. Rayapati may eye a place in TDP provided Chandra Babu gives a green signal. This move will also polarize Kamma vote bank totally to Telugu Desam Party and will be a death blow for Congress in this district.
