Cops nab a temple thief with Facebook help!

Looks like the times have arrived where in social networking sites help Police nab criminals. In the last one month, Srinivas of Ramnagar Gundu posing as a devotee had stolen two Hanuman idols, including a panchaloha idol from the Anjaneya temple in Adikemet, a panchaloha Sai Baba idol from the Sai temple in Ramnagar Gundu and a Ganesha panchaloha idol from Vijaya Ganapati temple in Chilakalguda.

He used to divert the attention of the priest and steal the idols. His act was captured in the CCTV of the Anjaneya temple at Adikmet. Nallakunta Police posted the video on Facebook. A person identified the thief as Srinivas and gave the information about his whereabouts.

Srinivas was finally nabbed. He confessed his crimes. Also during the interrogation he revealed about two stolen property purchasers, Yadgiri and Kishore from Secunderabad and recovered all the stolen idols from their possession.
