Corporates waited for Naidu’s Comeback – Philips VC

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu released the list of Fortune 500 companies in India in a special event in Vishakapatnam called ‘Andhra Talks Business’. Naidu has made a presentation of why the Fortune 500 companies should invest in Andhra Pradesh and his speech was greeted to thunderous response from the corporate elite.

Philips Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Krishna Kumar in his speech went on saying many corporate giants were waiting for Naidu to come back to power in the state. He promised to meet the CM very soon and discuss the investment plans of his company for the new state. Another corporate, Welspun Energy told the CM that they are ready to invest in a 1000 MW project in the state.

The ranking of top 500 Indian companies is made based on their gross sales revenue. Fortune India is a monthly magazine published by Time Inc., the publisher of Fortune (US) and the ABP Group of publications through a licence agreement.
