Costly Ego? Jagan To Demolish Praja Vedhika

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had taken a sensational decision. Speaking at the Collectors’ Conference, the Chief Minister announced the demolition of the Praja Vedhika. Political Experts say that this is a criminal waste of Public Money as it was constructed with 10 Crore money out of Public Funds.

“Praja Vedika is an illegal construction. I am holding collectors conference here today only to convey to the world the anarchic, corrupt administration prevailed during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. Demolition of illegal structures will commence from Praja Vedika on June 26th,” Jagan said.

Praja Vedhika has become a point of contention between YSR Congress and TDP. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has asked the government to give the building as Annex to the Opposition Leader. The government did not take any decision on that but took it over when Chandrababu went abroad.

The venue of the collectors’ conference was intentionally changed to take over Praja Vedhika. That gave rise to the question of how Collectors Conference is conducted in Praja Vedhika if it is an illegal construction. Many believe that Jagan has taken the decision to demolish it out of ego and it is going to be costly.
