Court Case on Modi’s 1.25 Lakh Cr Package

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a special package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore at a public meeting in Ara for Bihar at the time of the last Assembly polls. Recently, a PIL (public interest litigation) was filed by advocate Anil Kumar Mukund seeking the direction for implementation of the package.

However, the Patna high court dismissed the PIL. The division bench, consisting of Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmad Ansari and Justice Anjan Mishra, dismissed the PIL stating that such an order cannot be passed by the bench. They added that the petitioner could seek help from other forums for the redressal of his grievances.

The PIL was dismissed after the bench heard the counsels for the central and the state governments, and the petitioners. This brings back the popular demand of AP Chief Minister should fight against Narendra Modi rather than lobbying. Will it be of any help?
