Court Relief for Cash for Vote accused

Hyderabad High Court had finished hearing the squash petition filed by Jerusalem Mathiah to struck off the charges filed on him by Telangana ACB. Jerusalem Mattaiah, one of the accused in Cash for Vote case is arrested a week ago. However he is not arrested in relation to the Cash for Vote case but in another case.

This is a case dating back to 2006. It is alleged that Mattaiah took money some people promising jobs in Hotel Managements. The high court struck off the case after hearing to the arguments of both sides. Mattaiah, one of the accused in Cash for Vote case, never got arrested in the case.

He evaded arrest back then by escaping to Andhra Pradesh and later prevented his arrest through courts. Mattaiah who was earlier very active in Telugu Desam Party all of sudden joined Samajwadi Party last year and he is also appointed as the Media Coordinator of the party.
