Curious case of Telangana Chief Minister!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao never ceases an opportunity to call the state as one of the richest in the country. KCR even repeated the same in one of his public speech. This comes at the time when Telangana government had stopped releasing various bills to the contractors due to acute funds crunch.

More over the state government recently dashed a letter to the center requesting a package of 31000 Crore in the next four years releasing at least 7750 Crore per year. The government sought these funds only for Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya. Since the Prime Minister may announce a package to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana government hopes that they announce a package of lesser value to please the neighboring state.

However one could not stop questioning the rationale behind announcing as one of the richest state in the country and as well as seeking a Special Package from the center. Some of the TRS MLAs even claim that Telangana is in need of Special Status than Andhra Pradesh with out a capital.
