Daggubati Purandeshwari Into Modi’s Cabinet?

NT Ramarao’s daughter, Daggubati Purandeshwari joined BJP after the downfall of Congress in Andhra Pradesh. Just like Congress, BJP high command also gave her importance with crucial posts.

Purandeshwari was appointed BJP Mahila Morcha Prabhari. And was also made the incharge of the BJP in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

But then with elections nearing, Purandeshwari has stripped off incharge posts of both the states. Amit Shah’s confidantes were appointed in her place.

There were rumors that Purandeshwari will be inducted into the Union Cabinet. Andhra Pradesh did not have representation in Modi‘s team in the second term.

In fact, no BJP leader from Andhra Pradesh ever got into Modi’s team in the previous term as well.

If this happens, it will be the first representation from AP ever since TDP exited the NDA in 2018.

Meanwhile, Telangana has representation in the form of Kishan Reddy. Speculations are that a BC MP will also get a chance in this reshuffle to woo that community voters in the 2024 elections.
