Purandeswari To Retire from Electoral Politics?

NTR’s daughter and former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari is reportedly mulling retirement from electoral politics. She is currently the Mahila Morcha President of BJP. Even though earlier she was keen on contesting for the Lok Sabha, she now wants to retire from electoral politics

Few days ago, there were reports that her son Hitesh is Keen on joining YSR Congress and contest from Paruchur constituency but then we are told that YSR Congress is not keen on admitting him. Purandeswari may have followed him to YSR Congress but with the refusal she is keen on continuing BJP. She has decided not to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections given that BJP has zero chances of winning a single seat either from the Assembly or the Parliament in Andhra Pradesh without any alliances.

Given the Political Conditions in Andhra Pradesh, no party would like to go to the elections with BJP. So she wants to continue in the party and see if she can you get to the parliament via the Rajya Sabha after 2019 elections. Purandeshwari previously contested and won twice from Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha Elections on Congress Ticket.
