Daily Hearings in Jagan’s Cases?

In the wake of the Supreme Court‘s recent directive to dispose of the pending cases on Public Representatives in a time-bound manner, Telangana High Court asked all the CBI, ACB, and Special Courts to have the daily hearing of such cases.

Special judge under the prevention of corruption Act and other judicial officers concerned to take up the hearing of the cases pending against the legislators on day to day basis. This is bad news to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

All the disproportionate assets cases pertaining to Jagan comes under Telangana High Court’s jurisdiction. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been evading court appearances ever since he became the Chief Minister ensuring that the hearings do not go forward.

All the courts at Hyderabad are directed to continue the present practice of virtual hearing till November 6 this year. The Chief Minister may have to attend the court at least via Virtual hearings.
