Dandupalyam Gang Descends Again in Amaravati

The inscription stones from 2018 for permanent Secretariat, Iconic Towers and High Court have been found to be damaged. This has given the political circles a reason to discuss.

There are doubts that someone must have damaged the stones due to jealousy. The issue came to light on the next day of ground breaking for redevelopment of Amaravati. Tulluru police inspected the inscription stones and taken down details.

The stones were out in the open in hot sun and rains amidst wild growth of plants as the YSRCP government did not bother to develop Amaravati.

As per directives from our higher-ups, we have gathered details regarding the inscription stones of High Court and Iconic Towers. At two places, the damage is quite obvious, said Tulluru police.

We are investigating if the reason was natural or if someone damaged them intentionally, say the police. Incidentally, on social media, people who destroy like this are called the ‘Dandupalyam Batch’.

The contractors who will take up construction work in coming days must have strong security and install CCTV cameras, say Tulluru police.
