Deaf Center ignores AP’s continuous pleas

Andhra Pradesh government is in the foray of writing letters one after the other to the central government reminding its duty to extend help to the truncated state. It is said that the state government is writing at least twice a week to the Center requesting the release of funds for the construction of capital and the other fill the present financial year’s Budget deficit of Rs 15,600 crore.

This promise was made by the then government in the floor of parliament during the state bifurcation. But not a single rupee was released so far. The state government was assured some funds after the Winter session of Parliament but was again showed an empty hand. Finance Minister Yanamala Rama Krishnudu is taking up this issue again and again with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley but of no use.

The state is hoping that the 14th Finance Commission will approve all its proposals to address their greviances. Also the state is seeking Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) relaxations are given for a specific period which is again pending with the center. Besides these, the special status and packages promised to the state were also yet to get center’s nod.
