Defected MLAs gave a miss to Assembly!

Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao admitted the No Confidence Motion moved by the main opposition party, YSR Congress today in Assembly. Nine YSR Congress MLAs gave a miss to today’s Assembly session. Out of those, eight have already joined the ruling party.

YSR Congress announced that it has issued whip to all its MLAs through SMS/e-mail/Telegram to attend the session and vote against the government during the vote of No Confidence motion. However it has to be seen if such a whip will be valid technically. It is interesting to add that Telegram services are discontinued in India long ago.

A total of 17 MLAs today were absent in the house today. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced in this house that he is fully aware that he can not win the No Confidence motion against the government but he put it up to corner the defected MLAs and disqualify them for defying the whip. According to political experts, Jagan faltered in this ploy to corner defected MLAs.
