Delhi Polls: Congress’ new record in losing deposits!

Going by the voting pattern, the 100 Plus years Congress party is all set to lose deposits in at least 67 out of the total 70 Assembly seats in Delhi. The party did not even win a single seat in the election with its CM candidate Ajay Maken losing himself from Sadar Bazaar.

Ajay Maken even tendered his resignation to his General secretary post for the All India Congress Committee. Congress had been getting severe beating from the people since the general election. It had failed to create any effect on assembly elections to Maharashtra, Harayana and Jammu and Kashmir that took place later. There are demands that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should take the responsibility of the back to back failures and hand over the party leadership to Priyanka Gandhi.

Be it BJP or Aam Admi Party, Congress lost one of its ruling states again and the future is looking very bleak for the grand old party. Litmus test awaits it West Bengal and Bihar which goes for Assemble elections very soon.
