Desa Droham Case on YSR Congress MP

AP CID has arrested YSR Congress MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju a short while ago in Hyderabad. A non-bailable case has been registered against the MP under Section 124 IPC-A. The Section 124A of the IPC deals with sedition (దేశద్రోహం).

The MP’s family members claim that the CID officers did not have any warrant with them. Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju has Y category security and the CRPF security guarding the MP tried to stop the arrest but the CID officials did not agree.

Media reports say that the arrest is for the MP trying to criticize the Government. Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju has been very critical of the YSR Congress Government on various issues. The MP also filed a case demanding to revoke the bail of AP Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The next hearing of the case will happen on coming Monday. The arrest is timed in a way after the court hours on Friday making it difficult to go to the court for bail, the MP’s son, Bharath alleged. Today also happens to be the Birthday of Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju.
