Over the past few years, Texas has become a hotspot for Indian immigrants, with cities like Dallas being referred to as “mini Indias.”

This is primarily attributed to the pleasant weather and affordable living costs that make Texas an attractive option for settling in the United States.

Additionally, the state’s tax benefits and large Indian community have further contributed to its appeal. However, the frequent occurrences of gun violence in the region have raised concerns among the Indian community, causing them to question whether Texas is a suitable choice for them.

The recent mass shooting at Allen Mall has only added to the concerns of many who are already made a base out of Texas and others who have more or less decided to move to Texas in the near future.

The occurrence of gun violence is unpredictable, and it can happen anywhere, as evidenced by the nationwide trend. However, it’s worth noting that Texans have one of the highest per capita gun ownership rates among all states. Unfortunately, Texas is also home to four out of the top ten deadliest mass shootings in the United States.
