Despite Callous Center, Naidu Marches Ahead with Own Budget

Amid the din about Special Status and TDP pulling out of Union Cabinet, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu tabled the state budget of 1,91,063.61 Crore. Agriculture (12,352 Crore) and Irrigation (16978.23 Crore) got significant allocations.

Naidu went ahead with his own priority to Polavaram Project allocating a whopping 9000 Crore. Ahead of the 2019 Elections, 4100 Crore is allocated to next installment of Loan Waiver and the new scheme, Unemployment Allowance has got 1000 Crore.

Vishakapatnam – Chennai Industrial Corridor whose fate hangs in balance due to callous Central government also got 1168 Crore. Various allotments like Kapu Welfare fund, BC Welfare Fund, Kapu Students Fund, Pensions, etc were also given significant allocations with 2019 elections in mind.
