Did Jagan unnecessarily poke Chandrababu?

Three days ago, Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that 21 TDP MLAs are in touch with him and he can topple the government in an hour if he wish to. Within hours after that comment, several media houses carried news about YSR Congress MLAs being in touch with the ruling party.

The biggest jerk came from Senior Leader Bhuma Nagi Reddy who is with the party from the start. Bhuma was given the chairman of Public Accounts Committee, the only big oppurtunity the opposition party have in the government. Despite his best efforts, Jagan is finding it tough to stop Bhuma and media says his quitting is almost certain.

On the other side, there are reports that as many as 8-10 MLAs from YSR Congress may join by the end of this month. Only Muslim MLA in the state, Jaleel Khan may also join the ruling party. Chandrababu was not so interested in defections. But Jagan’s challenge seem to have poked him on wrong side. Also by letting other party MLAs, TDP will also project itself strong even as it is suffering from defections in Telangana.
