Digvijaya Singh Relieved of Telangana Duty

Congress High Command finally relieved Senior Leader Digvijay Singh from Telangana Duties. AICC has made an announcement that RC Khuntia will be the new in-charge of Congress affairs in Telangana replacing the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Digvijaya Singh is the center of several controversies during the separate state agitation and could not help Congress in AP as well as Telangana. Two years after the state division, Congress is dead in AP and is on a ventilator in Telangana.

Even after the debacle of 2014, Congress had made no changes at AICC level. But then with several such complaints cropping up on Digvijaya Singh, Sonia Gandhi has decided to show him the door. It has to be seen if these changes bring in a change of fortune for Congress in Telangana.
