Disproportionate Assets Case On Jagan’s Minister

Supreme Court of India on Wednesday ordered an FIR and inquiry into the disproportionate assets of Andhra Pradesh Education Minister, Adimullapu Suresh and his wife, TN Vijaya Lakshmi. Both of them are former IRS Officers.

There are allegations of corruption and disproportionate assets. Earlier Suresh has approached Telangana High Court and got the case struck. Now the issue has reached the Supreme Court which has given a ruling against the Minister. The apex Court has directed an FIR after preliminary inquiry.

A bench consisting of Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Vikram Nath, and Justice Hima Kohli has delivered these orders. Incidentally, Hima Kohli is the Chief Judge of Telangana High Court until recently and was just elevated to the position of a Supreme Court Judge.

After giving this ruling, the case has been posted to next hearing after two weeks.
