Do Not Wash Your 500 Notes. They Are Water-Loving!

Finally, things seem to be settled down now. New notes are available and change struggles have come down a little. Also, the withdrawal limit has been increased now. All good. Do you think so? Maybe not.

A Twitterati posted a picture of faded 500 rupees note suggesting people be careful and check the pockets of the clothes before putting them for the wash, as the note is not waterproof like the old notes but the print on the note fades away. The user reported that the notes accidentally went into the washing machine with the clothes and after the wash, the note came out to be a clean and almost stainless.

Some giggled on the post and some shared their similar experience. While people are relaxing now with the free flow of cash and change, these errors are sort of disturbing the peace.
