Do We Need CM Like Jagan?

Former Central Minister Daggubati Purandeshwari came hard on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for trying to erase ‘Telugu’ from the state. This has come after Jagan Government decided to change Telugu Akademi name and removal of Telugu medium from Government schools.

“It is time for the Telugu people to start thinking. We have the CM of Andhra, who wants to replace OUR MOTHER TONGUE, with English, while the Central Govt is trying to introduce even Technical Education in Telugu. Is it not time to awaken our self-pride? ARISE AND AWAKEN!!! (Sic),” Purandeshwari tweeted.

The Tweet is going viral on social media. This has triggered a debate of English Vs Telugu medium on Twitter. While the supporters of the Opposition and language admirers support Purandeshwari, the supporters of YSR Congress criticize the BJP Leader.

“In which medium is your children studying?,” they ask. But then, no one would have any issues if the Government allowed both the mediums to exist leaving the choice to parents and students to take.
