Don’t Think Remand As Punishment: Judge To CBN

The opposition leader of AP, Chandrababu Naidu is currently on remand at Rajahmundry central jail. This is the most talked about topic in the Telugu states currently.

Earlier today, Chandrababu interacted with Vijayawada ACB court judge virtually with regard to the CID remand plea.

“I am serving punishment for a crime I didn’t commit. If they really find me guilty, they should investigate me, verify the facts and then arrest me. It is not fair to put me through this punishment at this age. The Telugu states, and entire India know my character. I have been in politics for 45 years and haven’t seen anything like this” Chandrababu said to the judge.

The judge replied “There is no need to see this as a punishment. This is a judicial remand and not a police remand. This is a judicial procedure and we are following it. This isn’t a punishment, as you haven’t been adgudjged guilty in the case.”

Incidentally, the ACB court then permitted two days CID remand in the case and Naidu will be investigated by the CID for the next couple of days while he is at the Rajahmundry Central Jail.
