Dusty helipads hindering VIP Security!

While they talk about Z category, Z Plus Category Security for the Chief Ministers and Ministers of the state, they are not being totally fool proof. There are several complaints in the recent past where the security teams lose the sight of the protectee in the dust kicked up by helicopters at the helipads.

Security teams remain anxious for few minutes until the dust settles down. Most of the districts in both the Telugu states do not have permanent helipads and officials have to arrange temporary ones when the VIP helicopters arrive. The former Chief Minister, YSR had ordered construction of permanent helipads at all mandal head quarters in the undivided Andhra Pradesh soon after he returned to power that year but that did not materialize.

There are several incidents which happened over the last few years where VIP security is compromised. These incidents also include high profile leaders then like Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao who are currently the Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states. One such incident also happened to KCR when he visited Singareni Thermal Power Plant at Jaipur in Adilabad district recently.
