Early Elections Mania All of Sudden

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister the other day in a TDP Coordination meeting hinted about early elections towards the end of 2018. The Chief Ministers asked leaders to be vigilant and begin the campaign with Public meetings every month in all the districts.

On the other side, Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao is busy rolling out populistic Welfare schemes like Free Fertilizers, Reservations etc. The sense of urgency he is in give rise to doubts that if he is contemplating early elections for Telangana as well.

Opposition Parties in both the Telugu States are in shambles, early elections will also cut short their preparation time. So, both the Chief Ministers may be contemplating early elections. If this happens, it will also be a big problem for Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena who is yet to begin his party structuring.

On the other side, rumors are that BJP may also consider an early election at the Center level. If that is confirmed, Andhra Pradesh is more or less guaranteed to go for an early election. 2018 is definitely going to be an eventful year.
