Eenadu Clarifies EoDB Goof Up Indirectly

The other day, M9.news has pointed out a glaring mistake in its Front Page news in which it has mentioned that Telangana is first in the state in the Ease of Doing Business Rankings. M9.news showcased how the competition is still open and the results are yet to be announced.

Eenadu carried the clarification indirectly with a statement of Ministry of Industries, Andhra Pradesh. The state is ranked 14th in the rankings right now. The ministry said the evaluation of AP reforms is yet to be finished.

The statement said DIPP had finished evaluating 224 reforms of Telangana while it has evaluated only 48 of them for AP. The competition is open up to November 7th but the rankings will be decided only in 2 Months, the clarification said.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are the joint Rank One holders in Ease of Doing Business Rankings the last year. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) is announcing the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) rankings of the states in association with the World Bank for the last few years.
