Before the elections, Jagan promised to ensure liquor is available only in five-star hotels by the 2024 elections bringing prohibition in phases. But then, it is a thing of the past and now the Andhra Pradesh government runs only on liquor sales revenue.
Not to mention that Jagan claims to have abolished Belt shops completely. But then, Eenadu stripped that claim naked by publishing the main page article on how belt shops are still running in Andhra Pradesh.
It has given the number of shops operating and how YSR Congress leaders and cadre are operating them. Eenadu also published some photos of such belt shops.
This is a big shame for Jagan Government because belt shops in the previous government are okay to some extent because the liquor business is run by private players. But now the government has taken over the wine shops business completely.
