Elections Fever to Grip Andhra Pradesh

Back to back elections will grip Andhra Pradesh starting December until 2019 General Elections. Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections will be held in December. Kurnool, Tirupati and Guntur corporation elections will be held after Vishakapatnam elections in December, with a gap of three months.

Elections are also due for Ongole, Srikakulam, Rajam, Nellimerla, Kandukur and Rajampeta municipalities. The ruling party is enthusiastic to go for the elections given that the recent elections in Nandhyal and Kakinada have come in their favour.

On the other side, YSR Congress is totally unprepared and would pray that these elections will not come any sooner. Political Experts, however, feel that back to back elections will hinder the governance with the ruling party taking its focus on to political issues.
