Eluru Parliament: Cadre Saying No To Maganti Babu

Maganti Babu lost as MP candidate in Eluru in the 2019 elections. He has been totally inactive after the defeat. Moreover, he lost his two sons in a short span and was emotionally down.

He is totally away from party affairs for the last three years. Recently, Babu announced that he would become active in electoral politics.

But then, the cadre and small leaders are not happy about it.

They do not want the party’s high command to bring back the leaders who did not stand with them in crisis.

Moreover, Babu did not get well with MLAs under his constituency in 2014-19. He even encouraged group politics in the cadre. That led to the defeat of the party in 2019.

That is one of the reasons for TDP losing Polavaram, Kaikalur, and Chinthalapudi, cadre says.

So, cadres and leaders do not want the party leadership to give Babu the ticket.

But then, Maganti Babu will have sympathy factor on his side. So, it is not easy to set him aside for Chandrababu Naidu.
