The Enforcement Directorate officials raided the houses of Kavitha’s relatives today. The raids are going on at the residence of Kavitha’s husband Anil’s sister Akhila, located in Madhapur.
Kavitha’s remand of one week ends today. She was brought to Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court just about a while ago and was produced before the special judge.
The ED sought a five-day extension for Kavitha’s remand stating that searches are underway at her relatives’ houses.
The court reserved the order on ED’s remand request. The order shall be passed this evening. Meanwhile, Kavitha was allowed to meet her sons and other family members in the courtroom.
Kavitha filed a petition in the Trial Court challenging her arrest by the ED in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. The hearing of her petition will be held soon.
