Excl: Amaravati Farmers To Resume Padayatra From 10th

Amaravati Farmers are going to resume the Padayatra from the 10th of this month. M9News correspondent spoke to Amaravati JAC leader Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao and got to know about this update.

The government used brute force to stop the Padayatra of Amaravati farmers. Later we have seen the ministers claiming that they do not think the Padayatra will resume.

But the High Court has given a go-ahead to the Padayatra.

The High Court dismissed the petition filed by the government seeking to stop the farmers’ Padayatra.

But then, the farmers did not get relief from the High Court as well regarding the flexibility in the number of farmers doing the Padayatra.

The court reiterated that only 600 farmers can participate and did not even allow the farmers’ request to allow the rotation of the 600 farmers.

“There are no restrictions on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Everyone has a problem only with Amaravati farmers who have given their lands for the Padayatra and are now struggling,” Kolikapudi said.

The Padayatra from Amaravati to Arasavelli happened for 40 days. The Police ensured a forced break to the Padayatra in the Konaseema district. The Padayatra will begin from the same place on November 10th.
