Fire at Srivari Padalu in Tirumala

Fire started in the forest near Srivari Padalu in Tirumala on Tuesday. The fire spread rapidly through the forest.

The forest area was filled with thick smoke. The TTD forest and fire department worked in tandem to contain the fire from spreading.

The officials revealed that the fire spread over an area of 100 mts. As there were many devotees at Srivari Padalu, the officials took up safety measures at a quick pace.

While the exact reason is yet to be announced, it is said the fire raged after some mischievous people lit fire in the forest on the way to Srivari Padalu. The fire spread in the area between Srivari Padalu and Sila Toranam.

Two fire engines were brought to the location. The joint effort of the forest and fire department could control the fire that was spreading fast. The situation will be under control by Tuesday evening, according to the officials.
