First farmer in Amaravati to meet PM Modi

The foundation laying ceremony for Andhra Pradesh capital city Amaravathi is coming soon this Vijayadasami, on the auspicious occasion of Dasara. Prime Minister Modi is going to grace the event and the famers who gave away their lands for the capital city construction are going to be felicitated in the true sense.

AP government is planning to invite these farmers personally in a traditional manner. Each farmer family will receive invitation along with new clothes i.e., saree and panche (dhothi) like one invites own family members for an auspicious occasion in one’s own family. This way, farmers are going to be treated like family.

Besides this traditional respect, the first farmer who gave away his land for Capital city will receive the memento straight from the hands of PM Modi. It would be a great honour for all the farmers who came forward to support land pooling for the Capital City.
