First ‘Make in AP’ Mobile Phone to market!

Xiomi is going to release the first ever Make in AP mobile phone on 10th of this month. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will unveil the phone manufactured in the company’s plant in Sri City. The unveiling event will take place in Vishakapatnam.

The company makes 50000 phones per month in the Sri City plant and targets the production of 50 Lakh phones in a month by next March. On the other side, Naidu will also lay the foundation stone for the first software company after state bifurcation on 22nd August.

Tech Mahindra will be setting up the company in Madhurawada, Vishakapatnam. The software development center is planning to hire 5000 employees in two phases. The state government is positive of more IT majors following Tech Mahindra.
