Follow an App to Take a ‘Piss’ in Hyderabad

As a part of the Swachh Hyderabad initiative, GHMC is developing an app which will help to locate a public toilet in the twin cities on Google map. The corporation already finished a survey, gathered data on the latitude and longitude of toilets and have them geo – tagged.

The corporation has approached Google to ingest the toilet location on Google maps. The application is pending roll out as it awaits the approval from the Union urban development ministry. The App will be called ‘Swachh Bharat Toilet locator App’.

Once the ministry gives it approval, the data will be made live within a week. After the app is rolled out, GHMC is keen on strictly enforcing the ban on Public Urination. The Corporation already set up several bio-toilets in the city.
