From PM Candidate 6 Months Ago to Zero Seats

KCR and Telangana politics are inseparable due to his contribution to the formation of the separate state and because he, his party, and his family have been the biggest gainers from it.

KCR dreamt of going beyond the state with the confidence of retaining power for two consecutive terms.

He grossly underestimated his real strength and the public pulse. He changed his party’s name from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) with the dream of becoming the Prime Minister of India by challenging a mighty force like Narendra Modi, who carries significant goodwill even after ruling the country for two straight terms.

Cut to now, post-assembly elections, KCR and his party are in severe crisis. The ego that cost KCR his power made him avoid the assembly as an opposition leader to avoid facing Revanth Reddy.

He tried his best to convince the people of Telangana that Congress cheated them and that only he could achieve Bangaru Telangana during the Lok Sabha election campaign.

But according to the exit polls of the Telangana Lok Sabha, it is going to be an embarrassing fall for KCR and his party.

He was dreaming of the Prime Minister’s post a few months ago, and now the question is whether BRS will even win a single MP seat. Sometimes dreaming big is also not a good idea, considering his fall.
