Funds Galore for Mission Bhageeratha

Mission Bhagiratha, the flagship scheme of Telangana government is getting an immense amount of loans. The Project already has got 28938 Crore loans with various financial organizations and 13 commercial banks. The latest is that United Bank of India has offered a loan of 1350 Crore for this Prestigious project.

This funding will ensure the project is completed well within the deadline. The Water Grid scheme is intended to provide safe drinking water to every household across the State in the coming four years. Even though two perennial rivers flow across the state, the tragedy is, most of Telangana state does not have access to clean drinking water.

This scheme is intended to provide a sustainable and permanent solution to the drinking water woes. The scheme targets providing 100 liters of clean drinking water per person in rural households and 150 liters per person in urban households. This project aims to provide water to about 25000 rural habitations and 67 urban habitations.
