Gali Janardhan Reddy to Be Arrested Again?

The future of Mining Baron seems to be in gloom once again if this report in Indian Express is anything to go by. The former Minister is likely to be summoned by CID in connection with KAS officer’s driver Ramesh’s suicide note. The driver confessed to the CID that he helped Janardhan Reddy to convert demonetised currency ahead of his daughter’s wedding.

CID will be questioning Reddy in this regard and if they were able to find more evidence, in this case, Gali may be sent to jail once again. Janardhan Reddy, MP B Sriramulu, a few builders, businessmen, friends, and relatives were said to be involved in this Money Laundering.

Except for the driver’s suicide note and the confession of this driver, CID is yet to establish evidence that 100 crores were exchanged. Gali spent a sensational amount on daughter’s wedding drawing the attention of the entire country. It has also prompted Income Tax department to give him a notice.

Reddy is out on a conditional bail for the past few months after spending three years and four months in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Prison in connection with the Illegal mining case and in a case for trying to bribe the judge for bail. This Money Laundering case if proved may further complicate his case and make things tough for Reddy.
