Gangireddy’s brother arrested

Dreaded Red Sanders smuggler Gangireddy’s brother, Brahmanandha Reddy was arrested a short while ago in Kadapa. He is the former Chairman of Kadapa DCCB and there are allegations of gross misuse of funds on him.

This case is being investigated by CID for about an year and half. It is primarily established that Brahmanandha Reddy took fake loans on binami names up to one crore and did not repay those loans. On the other side, Gangireddy was arrested in Mauritius. Andhra Pradesh Police are trying to bring him back to the state so that he faces legal action for innumerable Red Sandal smuggling cases pending on him.

Gangireddy was once the Gun man of YSR’s father, Raja Reddy. With this acquaintance, YSR Government got a GO in 2004 which released Gangireddy from jail on humanitarian grounds even though he is not eligible. Gangireddy was arrested in 1992 in connection of an industrialist’s murder and he was sentenced to Life imprisonment in 1998.
