Gitams President gets MLC ticket from TDP

Ruling Telugu Desam Party had fielded MVVS Murthy, the prestigious Gitams college President as its MLC candidate for Vishakapatnam. Two MLC seats in Vishakapatnam are going for elections and the other candidate is P.Chalapathi Rao. MVVS Murthy is a former TDP MP and Telugu Desam Party’s State vice-president.

Murthy was supposed to contest last election but could not due to various political calculations. MVVS Murthy also owns several industries in Vishakapatnam. Telugu Desam Party is busy finalizing all the twelve candidates for the MLC elections.

We already known that senior leaders Payyavula Keshav, Gaali Muddu Krishnama Naidu have also filed their nominations. The party with its own strength in local bodies can easily manage to win not less than 8-9 seats of this total 12 seats.
