The last Group of Ministers (GOM) meeting regarding the Telangana Bill is completed a short while ago. GOM approved the Cabinet note on Telangana and also prepared the Telangana bill. This is more or less the same bill sent to Andhra Pradesh Assembly with some minor changes. This bill will now be forwarded to the cabinet which will send it to President. Pranab in turn will place the bill in Parliament.
The Central Ministers of Seema Andhra region submitted a 5 page note to the GOM that the bill rejected by AP Assembly should not be placed in the Parliament. The last parliament sessions of the current government will begin tomorrow. There are vote on budget, railway budget, six anti corruption bills and Telangana bill are the top priority bills to be passed in this session.
