Google Office Bomb Threat: Hyderabad Man Arrested

Of late, we have been hearing multiple fake phone calls where miscreants give Bomb threats to properties belonging to famous people or to popular commercial spaces. Here’s one such development today.

A Hyderabadi man named Panayam Sivanand dialler up the Google Head office in Pune and warned them of a bomb threat. The Google security officers then intimated the same to Mumbai and Pune police.

Mumbai police sent bomb detection team and first aid teams to the Google office in Pune. It was then identified that the bomb threat phone call they had received was a fake one and there’s no threat as such.

The man behind the call was identified as Sivanand and he was detained by Hyderabad police, upon intimation from Mumbai police.

The culprit is currently being shifted to Mumbai and cases under the sections 505(1)(b), 506(2) are filed against him. He is being investigated further now.
